I haven’t been writing on my blog for a while. Sometimes, you just need to step back and be quiet! That’s where I’ve been. My life is in a transitioning stage. We must get on the right track and get our focus where it needs to be. With my venture into the marketing world, I have found out there are 100′s of opportunities out there and you can just simply get overwhelmed. Now when you are my personality and you think you can go every direction, look at everything, you get on what I call many “rabbit trails” and you don’t accomplish a lot because you can’t do it all. I like to respond in a way that makes everyone happy! That’s just who I am! You should never wish you could be someone you’re not! Make a new resolution…..”I will not allow myself to be frustrated any longer!” What happens when you find you can’t dance to all the tunes at once that everyone is playing? Everyone’s song is beautiful, but you must choose the song that makes your heart pound from your chest! The song that puts passion into your being! Find out what it is that makes you happy. What is it that inspires you? For many people, they find it easy to focus right onto a goal and stay on it till it’s done. They look straight ahead and they don’t allow interruptions. Life will show you who you are, as the following story, gave me a lot of insight to who I am and how my compassion moves me!
I have to tell you it was on a Sunday Brunch in a local restaurant, that I found one of my passions jump from my chest! I have loved working with children most of my adult life! I have taught in Sunday School, preschool, been a Nanny, and I love the heart of a child. I can pick up on a child’s heart, especially the age of 5 to 12. I thrive when I have a room full of those beautiful children, even though they quite often challenge you! I thought Mike and I were having a nice quiet lunch, when all of a sudden, I heard a commotion in the booth near us. I realized the noise I heard was from a Father, who was eating with his daughter. Just the two of them. They were across from each other in a booth. The noise was his sunglasses flying off of his face as he abruptly had lost his temper with his daughter and flew out of his booth seat to hers on the other side where he pushed himself in beside her. The look on her face as he grabbed her hand and tried to force her to cut up her food and eat it. The sorrow in that little girls eyes, broke my heart! It was all I could do, to keep from going over as we left and giving them my card and telling them I would love to help if there was anything I could do. Her countenance never changed while we were in the restaurant. I knew something was terribly wrong! I prayed as I walked by their table and ask God to put his Angels around her and protect her and keep her from harm. Then I prayed for the Father that he would have the compassion for his beautiful daughter and he would meet my Heavenly Father and allow him to teach him to be a loving Dad. As we left the restaurant, I told my husband, “You know, I want to see families mend and be healed, not destroyed and separated. I know only with God, is that possible and I wish I could set down with that Dad and that little girl and just listen to their pain and help them. With my eye’s tearing up, I told him, “maybe I could make a difference!”
DO YOU BELIEVE, THERE IS A REASON FOR EVERYTHING? I’ve recently taken some time out, to ask myself, “Who you are , where you are going, and why are you here?” Maybe you too could use a “time out” to just look at all that is around you. Where are your priorities? Are you putting the most important things on the “back burner?” Do you need to set some things right and get some relationships restored? Are you angry? How are you dealing with it? What can you do to make a difference in that situation. I like the old saying, ” If it is to be….It’s up to me!” That is where it begins. God lets you choose!
Success will come, when there is a good foundation to build upon! Your house will stand! When the winds come and try to blow you off of your foundation it will not harm you. You can accomplish, with God’s help, anything you want to accomplish! You need to set your goals, write them down, but don’t do if by allowing someone else to put their goals in your head! Search Your Heart for Your Goals! best you can be and learn to love your life. I have been reading The Power of Positive Thinking by Norman Vincent Peale. I love what he has been teaching me! I have to say it has a powerful punch! You have to STOP the NEGATIVE Torture that has torn you apart! Get restored and repaired and do yourself the honor of believing in yourself. As I have said many times before, “you were fearfully and wonderfully made and God does have a plan and a purpose for your life!” Be a Powerful Achiever and Run after your destiny!
