It never really occurred to me, that maybe I was meant to write. I know that I’ve always had thoughts running rapidly through my mind, especially at the end of the day, when every thing is quiet and I settle down for the night. It’s like all of a sudden, I see all the puzzle pieces and have to try and I get ideas on “How” to put them together. I know as a mother, getting through tough years with my children, I often took the pen and wrote.  I found this easier than talking, but what I found out it wasn’t always the best way to communicate. Too much said, often should have been discussed face to face and for that is why my son asked me “Not” to write him anymore letters. With that, I put my feelings about writing into a category that said I needed to maybe just put the pen down and with love, learn to trust God and be a better communicator, especially with my children.

After that, I never really gave writing much thought, until my Brother Gary published his first book. It was a special week when he was working near me, and I drove about 50 miles to meet him, and went out on a few jobs with him. We were talking about how awesome it was, that his book had finally been published. He had worked on it for years and had some disappointments along the way, as one publisher took his money and didn’t publish! My Mom, his biggest supporter couldn’t wait for the book to be published and prayed many prayers for him that it would someday happen. January of this year it did! I know she was rejoicing from Heaven with him! Anyway, we were walking along. He always calls me “Sis.” He looked at me and said, “Sis, you know you ought to write a book someday. You have a lot of things you need to say, and you could leave a legacy behind.” I thought it was just a moment of “I did it and you should do it, too!” Well, I pondered on it for a few months. Timely, it was just about the time that I was working into online marketing and one of the first assignments I had, was to establish a blog.

Well, I took off and started writing some articles. I originally thought it would just be a business related blog, but it has gone much farther than that! Within that blog, and other events in my life, I began to discover that this small town girl did have some assignments and passions from my life experiences, that I did need to share.
I grew up in “Small Town USA.” Somewhat of a “Leave It To Beaver” home. Mom was a stay at home Mom, Dad worked a steady job and supported us. We were faithful church attenders. Dad didn’t drink and gave up smoking after he married Mom. We took big family vacations and did a lot of fishing! I had a brother 5 years older than me and a brother 5 years younger than me. I was the girl in the middle!

My life was a happy life and although there were really very few struggles, I still ended up with issues I had to contend with. I am very easy going, but very strong willed! When you have that personality, you take things to heart and you are very hard on yourself! I am quiet in a crowd, but I don’t mind getting up and speaking to a crowd! That is, if I have something to say!  I think very deeply about things, but if it’s something really complicated, I’d rather not think about it at all! When I speak, I’d rather get it said and get the information out as soon as possible, but I will listen to someone who could talk all night! I love a leadership position and admire someone who is there, but I’d rather be the right arm to a leader and help them accomplish their goals! I put high expectations on myself, but I let myself off the hook way too easy!  Have you ever, put in writing, what type of personality you have. I know mine must sound confusing to you! I felt like I needed to fit into everyone’s box and I was extremely frustrated if I didn’t. I always seemed to be the last one to finish a test. I loved basketball, but never seem to have what it took to be a starter!  I played piano, but my fingers just didn’t move fast enough to play those complicated notes! These things weighed on my heart for a big portion of my life!

OK….enough said! I had to have a mental breakthrough and I needed it as badly as anyone! I wasn’t overcoming sexual abuse, or seeing someone I loved murdered, or having my parents divorce and feeling like I had something to do with it, or facing the betrayal of a spouse, or raising a mentally challenged or disabled child or facing a disease I couldn’t cure! Still, the same effects can tear at your personal esteem if you don’t get everything in the right perspective!   Piece by piece, God helps me deal, day by day with each issue. First, I had to accept who he made me to be. I had to learn that he put me hear, and he thought I was special! I came with a plan attached!

Due to all the mental anguish I put myself through, I had gained a lot of weight. I blamed it on birth control pills and just getting older and having a slow metabolism. Through his healing ministry, I found a christian program that really began my journey to recovery, and as we began to share our stories with one another, one by one we discovered the reasons that weight had become a big issue with all of us! It was a big eye opener as I sat there one day in that class, and God said, ” I did call you to be a cheerleader…..just not a physical cheerleader! I called you to encourage my people and cheer them on through their hard times! You are a cheerleader!  (When I was in grade school, and wanted to try out for cheerleader, a friend had told me,”You’ll never be a cheerleader, You’re not coordinated enough!”) All those years, I had let that statement hurt me!

I’ve learned to share my hurts, as well as my victories and I am still a work in progress! My boys as they were growing up sang a little song, “He’s still working on me, to make me what I ought to be! It took him just a week to make the Moon and Stars, the Sun and the Earth and Jupiter and Mars! How lovely and patient he must be…….He’s still working on me! Yes….I’ve started my book and I have some things still left to say. Daily, as I look up, I find I don’t notice the obstacles that get in the way as much. I’m learning to trust him, my Jesus, to give me daily instructions and he is patient with me. If I can encourage you to trust him to and let him take the lead, he’ll heal the broken places and he’ll shed light on them that you never thought was possible! Be an achiever and live your life to it’s fullest! Your goals and visions are not in you by accident! Discover them, reach for them, and achieve them!

Achievement Strategy For Today
We are  chosen and designed to handle what ever is put before us! Have you ever just thought about how fortunate you are to be born at this time, where there is running water, a toilet and toilette paper, air conditioning, electricity and all those other things we take for granted? We really have it made, but circumstances sometimes make us forget what we DO have to be thankful for! When things get “tough”….the “tough” get going. We really don’t have a clue, here in America, what it’s like to struggle, but if we don’t get our mind set on the good things we have, all we will do is think of the challenges that face us every day! This life is worth fighting for! We need to be determined to live it to it’s fullest, despite our circumstances!
Don’t focus on the problem but focus on the solution. Whether it’s a family challenge, a work challenge, relationship challenge, or a personal challenge, you can be thankful that a solution lies before you! Don’t hesitate to LISTEN to those who will speak positive into your life.
Also do not hang around the pitty pool or you will drown. People who complain constantly have formed a habit and that habit feeds on getting others to join them. They will pull you into the pool if you don’t run! Just get out of the conversation quickly, and then go turn everything around into words that will build you up and strengthen you to move forward.
I loved the UTube I got this week on my Facebook,  of a very young girl, in front of the mirror, with all of her possitive affirmations about her life, her family and herself! You can get the job done so as the Bible says, “Think on the good things!” Also it says, “As a man thinketh in his heart….so is he!” So what have you been saying about yourself and about others? How about that one child you are concerned about? Or the job, or the finances? Hey, I’m speaking to myself here on a daily basis and this takes work and dedication. You didn’t form the habit of negative thinking in a day and you will have to realize it will take time to break it!
Are you willing to give it everything you’ve got and be determined to build your faith? What the mind of man can conceive and believe, he can achieve! God gave us amazing minds.   He taught us  to be THANKFUL in “ALL“  things.  Now in order to do that, you have to put your mind and thoughts to work and start to see how a bad situation can turn into good.  For example, let’s say you are late to work  or an appointment, because you forgot to fill up with gas.   You could say, thank you God that I am having to reschedule my day.  I know you are working things out on my behalf!  (You may  have avoided a serious car wreck by having this delay) Only he knows, so trust him with your life and circumstances.   I know if you put  these principles into practice, you will  find the Power To Achieve!

I’ve always been a note taker and write things down that inspire me.  Guess I got that from my Mom!

Before Mom died, she had moved in with me, and guess what, there was another of her notes, written down that I hadn’t ran across.  I’d like to share them with you.  I know she never dreamed they would go out into Cyb er Space:

Get out of Self-  I gave a little party this afternoon at 3-Twas very small, 3 guests in all, just I myself and me.  Myself ate up all the sandwiches, while I drank up the tea .  And it was I who ate the pies and passed the cake to me.

There is so much good in the worst of us, and so much bad in the best of us, that it ill behooves the best of us, to talk about the rest of us.

My Mom lived with a great deal of pain.  She eased her pain by feeding her thoughts with empowering thoughts that got her through each day!  That is a lesson she taught me.  To keep a good attitude!  We are told in the Bible, Deuteronomy. 28:47-48 to serve with joyfulness of heart, gratitude, a good attitude backed with joy, or we will serve our enemies with lack!  This is serious business for those who choose to serve God and be successful in his provisions!  When you live a life of blessing and have a great attitude, it raises your level of performance!  YOUR ATTITUDE DETERMINES YOU ALTITUDE!  With a “down” attitude, you will crash!  With a positive soaring attitude, you will rise to your expectations! Do you want fruitlessness or fruitfulness?  Are you so particular about the kind of fruit in your basket, that you can’t enjoy the other different fruits that are there!  You need to enjoy it all!…….  Find a way to enjoy it all!  Be optimistic and expect good things.  As a man thinks in his heart….so is he!  Jeremiah 23:36 talks about attitude!  You will not get fruitfulness in your life if you see it as a burden!  Take burden’s out of your vocabulary!  I call days that have challenges “Character Building Days.”  Come up with your term for the tough times and learn to put a positive  title to them!  Serve the Lord with gladness and enter into his courts with thanksgiving!  Be thankful and give thanks!  No murmuring and complaining!  II Cor. 9:6-7 says to give with a cheerful heart!  Not grudgingly or out of regret!  Now if you are a church goer, I know you’ve heard that one during the offering time if you attend church,  but let’s get beyond that, and realize it is not just about giving money!  It’s about whatever you give, whether it’s Love, support, respect, encouragement, forgiveness, helpfulness, faithfulness, or anything else you might decide to do!  Do it with gladness and watch your blessings roll in!  Your world will see you shine and be blessed by your presence!  Hope your path is so bright and cheerful today that you dance down it!  Leave a legacy you can be proud of and soar because you do have “THE POWER TO ACHIEVE!” God Bless!

One of my favorite songs talks about how we have shattered dreams, wounded hearts and broken toys, but when we give them to the master, he turns our sorrow into joy!  Our problems are not as we see them when he puts his potter’s hand on them!   Don’t sabotage the gift God has put in you,  just because you are punishing yourself!  Don’t lock your self in a prison of your own self pity and try to punish yourself.  Brush yourself off, get up, and EXPECT success.

Get inspiration to be an over comer in spite of your circumstances.  Many go through life, thinking they’ve been cheated, saying to themselves, “life isn’t fair”,
“I’ll never be good enough,” “bad things always happen to me,” and finally they completely give up on a relationship with a living God and doom themselves to failure!  That’s not how it’s suppose to be.  We are given strength through our trials and failures.  As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he!  We must have faith and believe in our hearts that the Best is yet to come! It’s through that faith in a Living God, who picks us up when we are down and redirects our paths, that we overcome!  We learn from our failures and excel to a life full of hope and achievement!  Thus we find the Power To Achieve!

The ending to my favorite song says, “He only promised a heart full of singing, about the very thing that once brought pain. ” Do not faint or grow weary, but move with faith toward your dreams and goals!  May God Bring Sunshine into your life!

In order to succeed at anything, you first have to become a student.   This weekend is the 40th High School Reunion for my husband’s class, and we drove a distance to be here.  In the opening prayer last night before we ate, the words were in thanks for being at the place, where the opportunity had began, that brought them all to where they were now.  Before success, you must have desire.  You must follow through with a plan to obtain success.  You must find the proper training system to get started and then apply yourself to the process.  We all started the first day of school.  Many of us, unable to write, spell, or read.  No matter what  you do, there will be a learning curve.  You need to be diligent in your efforts to succeed.  Remember when we first started reading, and we read “run Dick run and simple phrases that gradually taught us to read long and lengthy books.  We didn’t necessarily like doing the book reports and all the things our teachers required, but that was how we overcame our lack of education and finally, graduated from High School and later on college.

You will be tempted to quit and give up!  Because of that, you need to have mentors that will advise you, encourage you and support you!  Anything worth doing, is worth doing well!  Find a place you feel you can comfortably get started and get a plan together.  Write out your goals that will guide you through your plan of action.  You will need to invest into yourself to obtain your goals.  This may come in the form of time set aside for study and educating yourself, paying for someone to mentor you, putting aside some of you bad habits and replacing them with good habits and being determined to only listen to people who have your best interest in mind and will be your cheer leaders and not your critics.

Being out of High School for 40 years, makes you think about where you will be in the next 10 years.  Many very young students are already finding great success via the Internet.  They are tapping into a resource that hasn’t been available to many during their earlier years.

One of my passions in life is that of a counselor.  I often stand on the outside, looking in, and sometimes, life punches me in the gut when I didn’t expect it, and I have to reach up.  I am writing this today, to hopefully help a healing process begin, and in order for me to do that, I first have to talk to you about “Faith” and what it means.

Faith is evidence of something not seen.  It is believing in something you can not see with your physical eyes, but you know and believe it is there. Like the water in your faucet.  You know, when you walk over to the sink and turn the handle, you will get water!  Faith is substance of things hoped for!  Faith is the “water” you hope to see when you turn on the faucet!  Now, Faith goes a lot deeper than that!  We have seen the water so we know it’s coming out, but what about the things you are hoping for that you haven’t seen yet, except in your heart of hope and in your dreams?  That is where we tap in to the supernatural power of Faith and where we tap in to someone who is much  bigger and stronger than ourselves.  I have been know to quote that whatever the mind of man can conceive and believe “HE” can achieve.  Actually the word “HE” in that quotation goes along with the scripture in the Bible that says “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.  When we have a dream or a plan that lines up with “HIS” dream or plan, we can see the results through his eyes and yes, with his help, we can achieve our goals!

I am reminded of the story of the crabs in a crab bucket.  A crab that is in the bucket with a lot of other crabs, cannot crawl out of the bucket, because all of the other crabs pull him down, every time he tries.  Thus, he stays in the bucket.  His only sourse of help is if someone outside of the bucket, reaches inside and pulls him out and sets him free.

Maybe you fill like today you are stuck in the bucket of crabs. I had a very similar situation happen to me today!  I had to call on my master and say help!  Pull me out of this bucket and let the words you say about me SET ME FREE! You have a voice and an open line  connection to the MASTER , so quit listening to the crabs in your life and start listening to what God has to say about you!   Stay out of the crab bucket and if you are in it, it’s time to call out for help!  A big hand will reach down into the bucket and pull you right out.  You see, he will tell you that you were the apple of his eye.  He will tell you that he believes in you!  He will tell you that you were fearfully and wonderfully made.  He will tell you he is proud of you!  He will tell you “YOU CAN DO IT!’  Don’t let anyone steal your dream!  If God is for you, who can be against you!  Follow your heart and his heart and you will find the Power To Achieve is inside of you!  With God….All Things Are Possible….To him that believes!

Have you ever been there?  Totally doing everything within your power to succeed in your MLM Business, only to be told “No Thank You”  by that prospect that was soooo excited the night before?  Well I have and working as a team with my husband in the 80′s trying to do all the right things, spending hundreds of dollars on seminars, tools, motels, travel was a “big” learning lesson for me!  I got educated from successful people and I’m talking about Multi-Millionaires!  I had coffee in Denny’s with some of them and on a regular basis!

What this did for me was get my dream in place!  I wasn’t a dynamic speaker, but…I could talk easily with people.  My husband is the quiet type, so I did the prospecting and he did the business presentations.  We just gave up too soon as a team!  Life happened and we moved away from our team and set our business efforts down.
In my plans, I always knew I had to crank the old engine up again and keep on pushing on the gas peddle until I succeeded!  I needed to prove to myself I could be successful, so I put all my efforts into getting a Real Estate license and threw myself into the world of Real Estate!  I did find success there, maintained my other business I started in the 80′s, but lost all my  down-line!

I had to start somewhere and that was when I determined to find something I could work on my own, and later bring my husband back if he chose, or just build myself for our benefit!  He had advanced to a highly successful career and seemed happy there.  So I took the plunge!  I decided to get online and search!  I knew a few things: (1) I didn’t want to travel great distances and do meetings and get home at 3:00 in the morning and go to work! (2)I wanted to work with people who were as dedicated as I was to succeeding (3)I wanted to work from home as the gas cost in Real Estate was eating up a lot of my commissions(4)I wanted to be a lender and not a borrower(5)I wanted to teach other people to be successful and eliminate my debt, so I could teach them to eliminate their debt too. (6)I wanted to support many causes that were important to me (7)And I did want to travel….just not in snow storms, which I’ve done many times, just to get home from meetings and seminars.(8)I wanted to expand my business from just one business, to many income streams, and by showing other people how to do it, I figured it could be highly successful for me and them.

But that’s not what this article is about!  There are many things in life we spend money on so my focus was on what other things were there that people could network and make income streams on?  Travel was the next venture I went on.  Then I found frustration once again, when I had graduated up to hosting calls but I was not making money!  I trained and called 1000′s of people for two years and did everything I was told.  I spent Hundreds of dollars buying leads, but I found the economy had households so fearful of letting go of $1200-$11,000 to start a business.  It was a hard sale and almost  everyone I talked to wanted it , but they were more concerned about paying the house payment and putting food on the table.  So, I started my search again!

It was in the summer of 2009, I found it!  I do believe in prayer and I was praying about a way you could have all these business income streams and market them online.  I was thinking about something else that people spend money on that would be a more marketable product.  I still liked my first business, but the only way I knew to build it was back to the home meetings, motel meetings and long trips to seminars every month.  So…I thought of cell phones!  Everyone uses them!   I put in the search bar the name of a company I had heard of that was doing an MLM Business with cell phones!  And that’s when it happened!  I found the link took me to the business page of MLMLeadSystemPro.  http://www.beverlyrosspowertoachieve.biz (my site now). A man was exploring caves by the  Seashore.  In one of the caves he found a canvas bag with a bunch of hardened clay balls.  It was like someone had rolled clay balls and left them out in the sun to bake.     They didn’t look like much, but they intrigued the man, so he took the bag out of the cave with him.  As he strolled along the beach, he would throw the clay balls one at a time out into the ocean as far as he could.   Read the rest of this entry
